Exclusive, one of the kind, unusual, own design handmade tiered cake stand made of the biggest dinner service scalloped platters by Myott of Staffordshire England's Countryside with orange, gold, royal blue and emerald green hand painted strokes and rich 22ct gold finished scalopped china rims. All three tiers are put together for stable cake stand structure and resting on not one, but two sets of cake stand fitting rods of matching golden colour.
It took me several years to master to perfection the skill of making unusual quality cake stands and the bunch of satisfied customers on a way encouraged me to carry on doing my work, think and come up with new and unusual designs, researching for rare and exquisite vintage and antique English china. This cake stand would be a big step forward, significant milestone of my skills, grown passion to what I do, new level of craftsman's maturity on a backdrop of significant political events, Britain faces at this particular moment with prospects of "Hard BREXIT" scenario, when this listing is being made and going live fo my customer's judgement.
This cake stand is an artist's personal statement and passionate belief that Britain can and should make it's own way to prosperity and has a lot to offer to the World and is able to build it's own relationship with the World without a middleman. A lot of hard labour is still on a way...

China used for this particular cake stand comes from the trusted pottert maker Myott of Staffordshire with the history starting at 1808 and establishment of Myott brand at 1898. You can read a brief history here: http://www.thepotteries.org/potworks_wk/105.htm
China of this cake stand is dated by 30s and is earlier version of the pattern "England's Countryside" with plenty of hand painted work involved in this pattern. Later version (to cut down costs) is only transferware pattern with no added hand painted features to the pattern, which on my opinion makes it a bit dull. You can study the pattern in details by going to the Image Gallery, where I have used all Gallery space and added ten photos to support this listing. Still, no photos, no matter photographer's skills can do justice to a real object. It does have an impressive look, vibrancy of live coulours.
State of the china is in a great condition, considering the nearly 100 years the age of it: some age related crasing is present, which is a natural reaction of china to air humidity. That only brings more charm and character to the object and shows it's true age. All china is backstamped and shows it's authenticity.
Cake stand dimentions as follow (as I've mentioned before that graduated size oval shaped platters are forming the cake stand)
bottom tier (the biggest dinner service platter) - 43cm x 33cm (17" x 13")
middle tier (middle dinner service platter) - 37cm x 29cm (14 1/2" x 11 1/2")
top tier (small dinner service platter) - 32cm x 25cm (12 1/2" x 10")
Cake stand is 15" (about 40 cm) high. Combined weight of it is around 4 kgs without any packaging material.
Description came out quite long, but this cake stand design is something I quite proud about and shows clearly what could be made with a bit of an extra spirit of creativity and sort of forgetting about the price tags of the components. Worth mentioning would be a fact that platters are the rarest part of any dinner service as you get only one set of them for the set of 6 or 12 other size of plates.
