I haven't made a ring in a long time but they are so much fun to make! There tends to be a problem with adjustable costume ring blanks - they break! The pads are often soldered badly and snap off easily. So I've fixed that problem - the ring blank I use is one piece of metal. And to further strengthen the design I run a thick brass pin throughout the ring and feature. So this is not a flimsy piece! I file down sharp edges but it is a design that will snag on clothing.

The feature is just over an inch wide and rises 3/4 of an inch from the ring base.
