NO. 1083 - light green table lamp by Einar Johansen for Søholm Stentøj in the 1960s - charming green glazed lamp stand with new unused orange fabric shade included, all in excellent vintage condition.
A beautiful light green glossy glazed ceramic lamp stand featuring a short wide body and a narrowing neck. The body is decorated with a charming pattern incised on the top plateau of the body, while the rest of the lamp stand is kept smooth to really show off the beautiful light green, almost army green colored glossy glaze.
The orange fabric shade shown on the photos, is not original to the lamp stand, but makes the glossy green glaze pop. The size of this table lamp makes it perfect as a bedside light or as a small table lamp in a corner of a sitting area.
Denmark has a rich tradition of producing fine ceramics and original pottery dating back several hundred years and among the absolute greatest is Søholm. Søholm was founded in 1835 and is the oldest ceramic factory in Bornholm, a Danish island famous for its pottery and fine ceramics. The pottery from the 1950s-1960s is often characterized by the sleek lines, streamline design and innovative use of materials - just as the famous Danish Mid-century furniture. The factory closed in 1996.
Among the most famous designers who collaborated with Søholm is; Nanna Ditzel and Noomi Backhausen.
This lamp stand is designed by Einar Johansen, who designed several lights for Søholm in the period 1958-1968. It is handwritten signed 1083 and hallmarked EJ in the bottom.
Charming vintage table lamp in excellent condition - no cracks or chips and the shade, which is included, is new and unused. Please see the photos!

All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4' 11.1") plastic cord with on/off switch placed at convenient height and Euro style plug, which is easily changed to your specific plug.
Tested and fully functional.
Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
